2012 Chinese Culture and Creative Industry Lecture Series

Overview The first part of the course will focus on ten traditional Chinese art forms, including crafts, clothing, architecture, and painting, where students will learn to appreciate China’s civilization and understand its cultural values. Course Overview This course focuses on the close reading of Chinese literary classics, namely the philosophical texts of the pre-Qin times, the prose and poetry of Tang and Song dynasty, the novels of Ming and Qing dynasty, and historical records of ancient China. Overview This is a 6-week summer program catering for senior secondary school students. The program curriculum is divided into two parts. The first session of the class is on English comprehension & composition, while the second is on Chinese Language Usage and various liberal arts subjects. Overview This is an eight-week liberal studies program catering for senior secondary school students. The program curriculum is similar to courses taught in a typical U.S. university freshman year’s general education program.
