Activity Introduction

“Fai Chun” (Spring Couplets) is the symbol of luck and blessing in Chinese Lunar New Year. During this festival, most of the families in the Chinese community will paste Spring Couplets on walls in order to have blessing and luck.

To share the joy and happiness of Lunar New Year and the art of Chinese Calligraphy, Savantas Liberal Arts Academy is inviting you to celebrate this once-a-year occasion with us.

Instructor:

Ms. Edith Chu Siu Han

Vice Chairperson of the Psychic Image Calligraphy Society

Diploma in Chinese Calligraphy (with Distinction) from the School of Professional and Continuing Education, The University of Hong Kong.

Ms. Chu has learnt Chinese calligraphy from Mr. Lee Yuk Ming since 1992. Her works have been exhibited in Macau and Hong Kong, and have won several awards in open competitions. The most recent award is the Excellence Award in “Bauing Cup” International Painting, Calligraphy and Seal Innovation Competition in 2015.


Activity Fee

The tuition fee is $50 for the entire activity. In addition, there is a $50 deposit, which will be returned to students at the end of the activity. The total of $100 will be used to reserve a place in the course.
