Guided tour on “Across the Oceans: the Local Connections and Global Dimensions of China’s Maritime Silk Road”

The Savantas Liberal Arts Academy and the Maritime Silk Road Society are organizing a guided tour on “Across the Oceans: the Local Connections and Global Dimensions of China’s Maritime Silk Road”. Featuring the cultural relics from eight Maritime Silk Road cities (including Penglai, Yangzhou, Ningbo, Fuzhou, Quanzhou, Zhangzhou, Guangzhou, and Beihai) and Hong Kong, the exhibition elaborates on the roles and functions each had as they grew and prospered on the Maritime Silk Road. The exhibition also reflects on the impact and contributions of the Maritime Silk Road on the development of the world’s civilisations.

(Guided tour to be conducted in Cantonese will last for about an hour. Participants can stay on for the Exhibition after the tour.)
