Overview

This is a 4 weeks liberal studies program on globalization, catering for senior secondary school students. The program’s curriculum would be similar to courses taught in a typical United States’ university freshman year’s general education program. Subjects taught would follow the globalization module listed in the New Secondary School Liberal Studies Curriculum (See http://ls.edb.hkedcity.net/Home/Index.aspx). Upon completion of this program, students are expected to gain deeper understandings in the topic of globalization.


Language

The language of instruction will be Chinese (Cantonese). English and Chinese (Mandarin) will also be used as the language of instruction as appropriate.


Make-up Class

There will be no make-up class. If you miss a class, we recommend that you either e-mail or ask your fellow classmates for lecture notes.


Requirements & Grading

Grade will be based on assignment (50%), class discussion from reading (30%), and attendance (20%).
