Overview

This is a 7 weeks summer program catering for senior secondary school students. This program‟s curriculum is divided into two parts. The first part is on English comprehension & composition. The second part is on liberal studies. The liberal studies part of the curriculum is structured according to the three areas of study in the New Hong Kong Senior Secondary Liberal Studies curriculum: (1) Self and Personal Development, (2) Society and Culture, (3) Science & Technology Development. Upon completion of this program, students are expected to show improvement in English comprehension & composition and gain deeper understandings in the different

Liberal Arts Studies‟ subjects.

Language

The language of instruction will be Chinese (Cantonese). English and Chinese (Mandarin) will also be used as the language of instruction as appropriate.


Make-up Class

There will be no make-up class. If you miss a class, we recommend that you either e-mail or ask your fellow classmates for lecture notes.


Sessions and Weekly Seminar

All students are required to attend his/her two designated 1.5 hours weekly “small class” sessions held on Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday and the 1.5 hours weekly seminar on Saturday. Students who fail to attend more than 2 “small class” sessions and 1 weekly seminar (equivalent to 1 week class) without prior notices will be dropped from the program automatically without any refund or certification. So, please inform program administrator beforehand if you plan on NOT coming to “small class” or weekly seminar. Student may only attend his/her registered “small class” unless the student was given consent by program administrator.
