Savantas Liberal Arts Academy Public Policy Study Programme Summer 2021

29 May ,2021

After two turbulent years, Hong Kong has entered a new phase of its development. In June 2020, the National People’s Congress Standing Committee enacted a national security law for implementation in Hong Kong. On 11 March, the National People’s Congress made a Decision to improve Hong Kong’s electoral laws to ensure “Patriots Govern Hong Kong” and “One Country, Two Systems” will be smoothly implemented in the years to come.

Since its establishment in 2009, Savantas Liberal Arts Academy has dedicated itself to promoting understanding of politics and public policies, including the advancement of quality democracy under “One Country, Two Systems”. The Public Policy Study Programme to be launched in late May will bring together a highly diverse group of experts with deep experience in public policy-making and implementation. SLAA believes that through participation in this intensive, 12-week programme, both the teachers and students will be able to work together to deepen understanding of the political, social and economic challenges facing Hong Kong and identify workable solutions.
