2017 Summer: World War I and the October Revolution

Overview

The year 2017 marks the 100th anniversary of the October Revolution. As mentioned by Chip Tao, if WWI did not break out, the October Revolution, the May Fourth Movement, the Communist Party of China, as well as Hong Kong’s leftist camp would not emerge.

This course focuses on the first 20 years of the 20th century, and includes the following topics:

4. Governance and politics during the war ,4 September (Monday)

6. Paris Peace Conference and Treaties (1919) ,18 September (Monday)

Tuition

The tuition fee is $480 for the entire program. In addition, there is a $200 deposit, which will be returned to students with an 80%+ attendance rate at the end of the program. The total of $680 will be used to reserve a place in the course.
