Overview

Many modern political concepts, such as nation-state, social class and revolution, were formed in western European powers in the 19th century (1800-1899). This course will analyze the political development of Europe in the 19th century and

provide a historical perspective of these concepts.

3. Popular Protest

4. The Revolutions of 1848 and Chartism

5. Anarchism and Nihilism

6. European Cities in the 19th Century

Tuition

The tuition fee is $800 for the entire program. There is also a $200 deposit, which will be returned to students with a 80%+ attendance rate at the end of the program. The total of $1000 is due a week after the student is accepted into the program or before the first class, whichever comes first, and will be used to reserve a place in the course.
